Position Responsibilities:
|
- Work with students with disabilities throughout the University, both undergraduate and graduate programs
- Provide intake to new students explaining services and describing necessary documentation to receive accommodations/accessibility/assistive technology/emotional support animals/meal plan modification approvals
- Evaluate student documentation and determine reasonable accommodations based on disability diagnoses and associated functional limitations
- Meet with students to discuss reasonable accommodations and provide Letters of Accommodation each semester to qualifying students
- Consult with liaison administrators, faculty members, and students in graduate programs regarding any issues with students who have disabilities
- Record all communications with students, parents, administrators, and professors regarding students registered in Disability Services
- Maintain and update referral sources available to students for disability evaluations etc.
- Undertake additional responsibilities, as deemed necessary
