A Brief Overview

Provides a continuum of Audiology services that include the prevention, identification, diagnosis, consultation and treatment of patients with hearing or communication impairments. May provide diagnostic newborn auditory brainstem evaluation, and vestibular evaluation including Video Head Impulse Test (vHIT), Videonystagmagraphy (VNG) Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (VEMPs), and Electrocochleography (ECOG). May participate in student preceptorship and other advanced Audiologists duties.

What You Will Do



  • Patient evaluation, interpretation of findings, and management (55%).
  • Patient treatment (25%).
  • Documentation (5%).
  • Equipment use and maintenance (5%).
  • Advanced Audiologist duties (10%).


Additional Responsibilities



  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
