Position

The HRBP is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management at designated site(s). The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the organization's business objectives. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business units' financial position, midrange plans, culture, industry benchmarks, and competition.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the General Manager in supporting project and program initiatives that are aligned with corporate core values, philosophy, and strategy.
  • Attend and actively participates in leadership and site meetings.
  • Maintain headcount metrics, analyze site data, and develop solutions to support site needs.
  • Responsible for creating and presenting reports and metrics as needed to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
  • First point of contact to clarify processes and procedures of the company, providing HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Work closely with site leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and implement initiatives to increase productivity and retention.
  • Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including upholding record retention and following security guidelines.
  • Support and participate in benefits administration activities for assigned site(s).
  • Administer the leave administration process (FMLA, ADA, Labor and Industry (L&I) and Worker's Compensation).
  • Administer L&I claims; generate modified duty job descriptions to accommodate injured workers and facilitate communication with physicians and claim managers.
  • Plan and ensure the organization is compliant with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and maintain a high-performing, knowledgeable, and cohesive HR team.
  • Thorough knowledge of human resource employment law at federal, state and local levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of principles and practices of human resources.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, with an executive presence.
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse workforce, practicing and promoting an "open door" approach with all employees.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism and uphold the ethical standards of the company.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tack, professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Customer-centric focus and advanced customer service skills.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
  • Combination of work and education may be used in lieu of the above requirement.

Experience

  • Five years of broad HR experience including recruiting, WC, benefits, employee relations, and leave administration.
  • Prior work experience in the manufacturing or distribution industry preferred.

Certificates

  • PHR or SHRM certifications required, or the ability to obtain within one year.

Computer Skills

  • Expert user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Prior experience with a Payroll or HRIS database required (ADP Preferred).

Pay

SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the pay for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets.
