About the Role:

The Electrical Designer II plays a crucial role in the development and design of electrical systems for durable goods manufacturing. This position is responsible for creating detailed electrical schematics and layouts that ensure the functionality and safety of products. The designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components into product designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting and resolving design issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, the Electrical Designer II will help deliver high-quality, reliable products that meet customer expectations and enhance the company's reputation in the market.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical design within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and control systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as UL, IEC, or NEC.
  • Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce detailed electrical schematics and layouts for durable goods.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers and product managers to integrate electrical systems into product designs.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical support during the manufacturing process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
