*The range provided is based on cost of living/geography and what we believe is reasonable in the market at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for annual bonus and annual merit increase, as well as long term compensation. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors.

How You'll Perform the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Regional Sales Manager to drive profitable sales growth within existing accounts with a larger focus on uncovering, developing, and commercializing new business to expand our West Coast footprint. This position sells flexible packaging solutions through increasing product knowledge and brand awareness and driving revenue growth for key, targeted clients. The successful candidate will need to be equally effective delivering the Novolex Value Proposition to new / existing clients and working with plant operations, technical, and quality teams to deliver the product solution to clients.

The position reports directly to the Director of Sales, West.



  • Develop a mastery of business unit capabilities and leverage that knowledge to drive new, profitable revenue growth.
  • Work independently with initiative and tenacity to uncover growth opportunities within new and existing client relationships.
  • Exhibit an entrepreneurial and scrappy drive for revenue growth and accountability for results.
  • Strong and proven track record in key account management, growing share of wallet within established relationships, and supporting a multi-level sales approach.
  • Think and act strategically to establish Novolex as a preferred supplier at existing and new accounts.
  • Develop and foster strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to speed opportunity qualification and delivery to new and existing clients.
  • Leverage marketing support, lead generation, CRM (Salesforce), and independent research to create new business opportunities and drive them to a successful close.
  • Provide competitive assessment through grass-roots research and client interaction and proactively communicate those assessments to improve market intelligence.
  • Promote visibility and transparency of sales efforts and results through timely engagement of CRM and reporting, as required.
  • Accomplish department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.



What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 5-8+ years of selling experience
  • Technical understanding of flexible plastic business preferred - industrial, food packaging, and construction
  • Ability to travel 60%
  • Periodic on-site engagement in our manufacturing plants to develop key relationships with operations, technical, and quality teammates
  • Proven business planning and budgeting skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
