General Information:

Lead and oversee Lab Administration activities that ensure the delivery, availability, and functionality of software and other technology-related services in support of the administration, operation, and management of public computing facilities and classrooms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of necessary systems, applications, processes, and automated efficiencies in public computing facilities. Analyze, research, and develop more reliable and efficient technologies and processes for delivering core services. Provide additional supports in the operation and administration of all public computing facilities managed by Computing Support.

Qualifications:

Required:



  • Extensive experience with Windows and MacOS installation, deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting in an enterprise network
  • Proficient in Active Directory and Group Policy Objects for managing desktops
  • Experienced in deploying and maintaining computers in a persistent state (Deep Freeze,
  • Skilled in PC and Mac deployment methods including Windows ADK, WDS, JAMF, SCCM, and Intune
  • Familiar with computer lab management tools such as DeepFreeze, Sassafras AllSight, and Veyon
  • Moderate proficiency in PowerShell, CMD, and UNIX scripting for desktop management
  • Experienced in managing print servers and printer deployment in an enterprise network
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Understanding of networking and network security for desktop and server troubleshooting
