About the Design Research Program Drexel University's Design Research MS program prepares students to meet research and design challenges through a 48-credit, 2-year, interdisciplinary master's degree program that brings together Drexel's expertise in design, service design, social impact, environmental research, and public health. This unique master's program empowers and prepares students for careers focused on improving the well-being of urban citizens. Drexel University is the ideal institution for the MS in Design Research due to its inherent philosophy of interdisciplinary learning and practical, engaged education. Studying Design Research at Drexel positions students to work with a gifted faculty of experienced researchers and practitioners from the Westphal College, Dornsife School of Public Health, and various research labs run by Faculty across the University. Graduates of the Design Research program gain public and private sector employment, including positions in service design, financial sector, utility, fashion, research labs, design firms, think tanks, community development corporations, and beyond. Job Summary The adjunct faculty member will employ a variety of strategies to foster student professional and academic development, learning and discussions, as well as encourage active learning in all students, maintain proper course-related records, and evaluate student work and provide students with feedback as to the progress toward meeting the objectives of the course. Each adjunct faculty member is responsible for effectively teaching students in the assigned classroom or remote settings. Each adjunct faculty member is responsible for effectively implementing the mission of the Department of Architecture, Design & Urbanism. Responsibilities may include teaching days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with the potential for online only, in-person only, or a combination of both. Essential Functions
