Creighton University in Omaha, NE is seeking to hire an Assistant Director in Student Life.

The Assistant Director advises the CSU Program Board, manages multiple program budgets, and is responsible for providing diverse programming for 4000 undergraduate students that engage them in campus life including nighttime and evening events. Reviews and approves event submissions for student organizations. Provides training and communication with all organizations, officers and their 300+ moderators. Plans and coordinates large events and programming efforts for Student Life. Night and weekend commitments are required.




  • Develop, direct and advise assigned student organizations and programs implemented by the student leaders to encourage students' engagement and movement along the developmental continuum, in keeping with Jesuit Charisms.
  • Develops and implements leadership education training and development sessions/retreats/programming and supervise student interns.
  • Evaluates student organizations' events and oversee budgets.
  • Employees are expected to uphold Creighton's core values and demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment, while adhering to all University Ethical Standards of Conduct, rules, regulations, and job requirements, including required educational trainings.



Qualifications:



  • Masters' degree required (Higher Education, Student Affairs Administration, Counseling or related field).
  • One + years of experience in student affairs required.
  • Demonstrated experience with NACA preferred.
  • Experience in student programming, advising student groups and/or leadership development is required.
  • An understanding of and the ability to apply student development and learning outcomes theories is required.
