The Spa Houseperson is responsible keeping areas within the spa and outdoor pools neat, clean and well stocked with all amenities.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

* Be on time for each shift and flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa.

* Clean treatment rooms and public spaces using a vacuum cleaner, broom, cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents.

* Empty trash throughout the spa, wiping down trash cans as needed.

* Pick up and restock towels, straighten chairs throughout the indoor and outdoor pool areas.

* Break down coffee and water stations after the spa and fitness center have closed.

* Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the facility.

* Clean steam rooms and saunas nightly

* Engage with guests and actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.

* Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.

* Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests and ensuring complete guest satisfaction.

* Possess ability to work without direct supervision.

* Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.

* Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.

* Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards consistent with company standards.

* Must be flexible enough to work a variety shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.

Training and Experience:

* Previous housekeeping or professional cleaning experience required.

* Minimum one-year experience providing customer service in a high-end fitness center or luxury spa environment, a plus

* Excellent personal appearance, good communication skills and a friendly, congenial personality is a must

* Ability to work in a high-volume, busy service environment while maintaining composure and focus on the guest.

Physical Demands:

* While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to consistently stand, walk, squat, use hand to write, talk, hear, see, taste, smell.

* The employee must regularly lift and/or move at least 25 pounds.

Environmental Conditions:

Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered "inside" if the worker spends approximately 75 percent or more of the time inside. * One on one, and small group, interactions throughout the spa facility.

* The noise level in the environment is moderate.

OTHER

* Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

* Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

* Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

* Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Associates who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

* All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).

* Additional language ability preferred.
