Zayo is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Internal Communication Manager to lead communication initiatives that drive employee engagement, support leadership, and enhance organizational alignment. This role plays a critical role in overseeing the annual employee engagement survey and ensuring that actionable insights lead to meaningful improvements. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication, project management, and collaboration skills. This position will report to the Head Of Internal Communication and will be an individual contributor, with no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Engagement Survey Management:

    • Lead the end-to-end process for the annual employee engagement survey, including planning, execution, and analysis.

    • Identify key themes from survey feedback; Lead employee work teams to provide recommendations for actionable solutions and organizational enhancements.

    • Create, maintain and share dashboards and reports to track survey results and communicate progress on improvement initiatives.

    • Foster a culture of listening and continuous improvement by ensuring survey outcomes drive meaningful and measurable change.

  • Intranet Content Management: Write, manage, and update content for the company intranet, ensuring it remains a relevant and engaging resource for employees.

  • Executive Communication Support: Provide writing and communication support for the Chief People and Culture Officer and other senior leaders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, tone, and strategy.

  • Organizational Change Communication: Develop and implement communication strategies to support organizational change initiatives, helping employees navigate transitions with clarity and confidence.

  • Other: Craft compelling messages, presentations, and materials to help senior leaders effectively communicate vision, priorities, and updates to employees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing or related field required. Masters Degree and agency experience is a plus.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of proven experience in internal communication, employee engagement, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing employee engagement surveys, analyzing data, and driving actionable outcomes.

  • Experience with survey platforms and tools, including reporting and analytics (Peakon).

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an ability to communicate complex ideas clearly. Knowledge and use of AP Style is a plus.

  • Ability to collaborate across teams and influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in fostering employee engagement, improving organizational communication, and driving meaningful change through the power of strategic communication and actionable insights.

Estimated Base Pay Range: $83,300 - $119,000 USD/annually

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.

The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days. The active posting will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
