Lamar Advertising Company is now hiring a Lamar Farm Property Coordinator responsible for servicing and maintaining the farm property. This individual will perform a diverse range of activities in areas such as agriculture, building, and land maintenance. The Property Coordinator should have an aptitude in field management and must be committed to farm-related activities for successful accomplishment of duties. Must be aware that one needs to handle various weather situations and has to be constantly on the field while undertaking the responsibilities of a farm manager.

This is a part-time position at 20-29 hours a week. Candidate must be able to pass pre-employment screenings including a drug test and a physical.

What we are looking for in you:



  • Must be available 7 days per week
  • Pesticide card authorizing the application of pesticides and chemicals preferred
  • Working knowledge of farm equipment maintenance and operation
  • Proven organizational, time management, and supervisory skills

Education and experience:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5 years of relevant experience required
  • Agricultural management experience preferred
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience


A day in the life:



  • Manage water levels in ponds
  • Oversee and/or execute planting of agriculture
  • Soil management
  • Chemical applications
  • Maintain roads and levees
  • Service and maintain lodge
  • Service and maintain farm equipment and pumps
  • Other duties as assigned


Physical Demands and Work Environment



  • The primary work environment for this position is outdoors, requiring the ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • The physical demands for this position are moderate to heavy lifting, pushing, reaching, seeing (reading, color distinction, acuity, depth perception, and peripheral vision), sitting less than 50%, standing, stooping, talking, turning, and walking.
  • Nights spent traveling, away from home, are less than 10%
  • On-call shifts may be required
