The Department of Surgery, Division of Acute Care Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks an outstanding early to mid-career Acute Care Surgeon to join our thriving practice. Northwestern Memorial Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center and one of the premier academic medical centers in the United States. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy team of clinicians, educators, and researchers. Furthermore, the Division is recognized for innovative excellence in education.

The position is on the Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. Primary responsibilities include care of surgical patients on the Trauma/Emergency General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care services, education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and independent research. There is protected time for research, commensurate with supported activity.

Qualified candidates will be board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled. Compensation is competitive and linked to experience, and includes excellent healthcare and retirement benefits.

The expected base pay range for this position is $350,000 - $470,000.

Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
