Summary: Responsible for actualizing and balancing crude volumes on assigned pipeline and terminals. Along with balancing, transportation for these pipelines will need to be reconciled, accrued and paid as it relates to intercompany and third-party pipelines and terminals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Participate in monthly close process including booking volume of pipeline sectors and reconcile to pipeline statements as well as truck stations for lease barrels
  • Manage pipeline fees accrual for assigned sectors and perform analysis for variances with actuals
  • Work with 3rd party companies to settle by deadline
  • Initiate and implement system upgrade as needed
  • Able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
  • Work cross-functionally with Scheduling, Lease Accounting, Settlement and Pipeline groups to ensure goals and objectives are being met
  • Perform tasks to ensure SOX requirements are met
  • Provide audit support as needed
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses as requested by management


Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:



  • Related work experience commensurate with the job level described below
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Analytic and data analysis skills required, especially MS Excel
  • Must be able to work overtime during key periods
  • Highly detailed oriented
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task
  • General knowledge of Marketing Transactions


Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:



  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience



Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

1. Usually, normal office working conditions.

2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

3. Occasional travel may be required.
