Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Infra. Architect with 10+ of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Cloud Basics RedHat Linux Administration Shell scripting AIX Administration and HP - Unix Administration. Experience in the Medical Devices domain is a plus. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of RedHat Linux systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide expertise in Shell scripting to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Manage AIX Administration tasks ensuring system reliability and availability.
  • Handle HP
  • Unix Administration maintaining system integrity and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions into existing infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in all infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to identify and resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and configurations.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements in infrastructure management.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure services to enhance overall business operations.

Qualifications

  • Must have extensive experience in Cloud Basics demonstrating the ability to design and implement cloud solutions.
  • Must have strong expertise in RedHat Linux Administration ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Must have proficiency in Shell scripting automating tasks to streamline operations.
  • Must have solid experience in AIX Administration managing system resources effectively.
  • Must have hands-on experience in HP
  • Unix Administration maintaining system security and integrity.
  • Nice to have experience in the Medical Devices domain understanding industry-specific requirements.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
  • Must have strong communication skills effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment.
  • Must have a proactive approach to learning and staying updated with the latest technology trends.
  • Must have experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for infrastructure processes.
  • Must have the ability to mentor and guide junior team members fostering a collaborative team environment.

Certifications Required

Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) Certified Unix Administrator Cloud Certification (AWS Azure or Google Cloud)

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 03/21/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $119000 - $139000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
