Summary:

Vizient integrates the activities of architects, engineers, third party equipment planners and consultants involved in facilities maintenance and construction projects in an effort to create a positive financial outcome for our healthcare clients. As a consultant, you will support the ongoing development and integration of our suppliers and their pricing with our client's design and construction process from conception, planning, design, construction, and closeout. You will also conduct detailed analyses to generate strategic insight and identify performance improvement opportunities for clients and members.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of project work plan to meet project schedule, budget and expected value

  • Collaborate and prepare analysis and related recommendations in accordance to established guidelines or client needs; communicate outcomes back to internal and external audiences.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders (internal and external / clients) to effectively manage expectations and ensure quality and timely project delivery.

  • Manage the initiatives and programs that are developed to enhance membership compliance with the contract portfolio.

  • Coordinate between client supply chain, construction/facilities, architects/engineers, and contractors on site.

  • Review architectural specifications and prepare supplier alignments.

  • Cultivate and develops both new and existing supplier relationships by understanding the changing marketplace related to facilities and construction.

  • Effectively articulate objectives to suppliers to provide savings opportunities.

  • Prepare RFPs, bid analysis and cost review for client engagements.

  • Research and identify relevant data sources; incorporate understanding of business drivers into analysis.

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers that meet selection criteria and delivers a positive financial impact for our client.

  • Support ongoing capital initiatives outside of and in conjunction with construction initiatives.

  • Utilize project management methodology to guide work efforts.

  • Draft presentations; present data and recommendations to client management.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in architecture/construction management/engineering/business administration/healthcare related fields strongly preferred.

  • 2 years minimum of relevant work experience required in design, engineering, or construction.

  • Experience in architectural/engineering/construction/medical equipment procurement and logistics required.

  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings, specifications, and submittals preferred.

  • Proficient in the use of project management principles, practices, techniques and tools.

  • Solid understanding of blueprints and plan interpretation.

  • Proficient in Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for creating presentations; basic experience with Power BI preferred.

  • Consulting and/or analytical experience in healthcare preferred.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills required.

  • Understanding of procurement practices and technology a plus.

  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients' needs and timetables.

  • Candidate will preferably reside in one of the following time zones: Pacific, Mountain, Central.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $116,300.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
