DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will provide clerical-accounting support in the Inmate Accounts section of the SCI Pine Grove Business Office. Your duties will involve bookkeeping tasks, including the recording, reviewing, classification, and processing of inmate transactions and revenue-generating activities in accordance with the Inmate General Welfare Fund's (IGWF) Accounting Manual. - Full-time employment, 37.5 hour work week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,785 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
- An Associate Degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits of accounting.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
