Industrial Process Engineer

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly motivated Industrial Process Engineer to join our electronics manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety within our production environment. This role requires a strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and a passion for continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate must possess ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a demanding environment, demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skills, and be able to adapt quickly to changes,prioritize and execute multiple tasksin the fast pace environment.

Duties Include:



  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes for electronic components and assemblies
  • Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement to reduce waste, increase productivity, and enhance product quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and validate new process technologies
  • Utilize statistical analysis and process control methodologies to monitor and optimize manufacturing performance
  • Generate and present reports on process performance metrics, including yield, cycle time, and efficiency
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to implement and monitor quality standards and processes
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues related to quality, and initiate corrective actions as needed
  • Evaluate, select, and implement manufacturing equipment and tooling to meet production requirements
  • Develop maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for mechanical systems to ensure reliability and performance
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials
  • Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment
  • Lead process improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of necessary tools and materials



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in process engineering within the electronics manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process improvement tools
  • Proficient in CAD software, process simulation tools, and statistical analysis software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with automated manufacturing systems and robotics
  • Familiarity with electronics industry standards and regulations (e.g., IPC, ISO)
  • Project management skills or certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure, self-motivated, self-starter, and eager to learn
