Mental Health Tech Coordinator

Inova Center for Personal Health is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Technician Coordinator to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift 4-days 10-hour shifts (times vary 8:00 a.m.- 6:30 p.m., 9:00 a.m. - 7: 30 p.m. Noon - 10:30 p.m.

Mental Health Technician Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

* Provides administrative support by answering phones, transcribing orders and maintaining charts.
* Provides basic triage of patients, registers patients, takes vital signs and provides information on status.
* Communicates abnormal values and clinical changes to the appropriate staff member within 15 minutes.
* Answers and screens telephone calls while providing appropriate information or referring to other staff members.
* Registers patients for emergency and outpatient services while ensuring complete and accurate information is obtained.
* Schedules appointments in automated scheduling system. Makes copies, sends/receives faxes and opens/distributes mail.
* Reinforces transition/discharge teaching and home care skills.

Additional Requirements:

* Work schedule: 4-days 10-hour shifts (times vary 8:00 a.m.- 6:30 p.m., 9:00 a.m. - 7: 30 p.m. Noon - 10:30 p.m. This position requires rotation shifts working at IFMC Hospital also.
* Education: High School
* Experience: One-year relevant experience
