Claims Analyst

Hybrid schedule option available after training (you must be on-site in New Brighton, MN)

Location: New Brighton, MN

Pay: $23/hr.

In This Role You Will:



  • Run aging reports on unpaid accounts, then re-bill claims send out client statements, determine and submit write-offs, client refunds, and appeals to third-party payers
  • Performs various collection actions including sending out a variety of collection letters in the mail, setting up payment plans with clients over the phone, and reaching out to payers through phone, email, and payer portals to resolve open AR
  • Provides customer service to clients, internal staff, and third-party payers by researching accounts to determine if the claim was billed correctly by MBH and paid correctly by the client's health plan


About You:



  • A minimum of one year of freedom from chemical abuse problems.
  • High school education, post-secondary preferred
  • 3-5 years of direct claims/billing experience is strongly preferred.
  • 3 - 4 years related experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Strong computer and healthcare billing software proficiency; Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required.

Experience
