First (Days) (United States of America) Sentara Family Medicine at 5th Street Station (Same day clinic) is currently seeking to hire an individual to join our team as a Patient Care Rep in Charlottesville, VA!

Status: Full-Time,permanent position (36 hours)

Standard working hours: Dayshift with every other Saturday schedule

Location: Will report daily at Sentara Family Medicine at 5th Street Station (Same day clinic): 435 Merchant Walk Square Suite 400 Charlottesville, VA 22902.

Job Description:

As a Patient Care Representative with Sentara Health, you will provide non-clinical support within a physician's office and ensure an excellent patient experience by performing a variety of complex administrative tasks to support patient care delivery. Primary duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and answering patient questions. In this role, you will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients.

Required qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED

Job Summary

Responsible for registration process of new and current patients at the site. Completes check-in and check-out functions to include collection of co-pays, scheduling of appointments, and requests for medical records. Answers telephone calls and greets all patients and visitors with a smile.

Must have ability to communicate with insurance carriers and discharge planners in a professional manner. Must be enthusiastic and energetic.
