Position Summary:

This role manages the company's forecasting and financial planning including the annual budgeting process, monthly and quarterly analysis, and special projects. A key aspect of the position will be to provide support to the Director of Finance and senior management including but not limited to preparing presentations, industry/peer group comparisons, and various analytical projects including but not limited to cost, inventory, capital expenditure and business cases. This function is the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support optimal business decision making but will also complete accounting closing duties.

A strong cost accounting background in a manufacturing environment with a hands-on approach to engaging with production team members will be essential to success. In addition to being very hands-on, and participative in processes, a high degree of willingness to live in detail and understanding of detail connectiveness is required. Acts as a consultant to adjoining teams, leaders, and other members of the Finance Team. The ability to articulate a problem and the solution in a succinct and understandable manner both verbally and in writing to all levels of Warn Automotive from production team members to engineers to senior management team. Performs complex duties requiring patience, tact, leadership skills, knowledge and competency in areas that go beyond the traditional accounting functions. May participate in financial analysis reporting to internal and external partners. Oversees the maintenance of the forecasting reporting systems and supports the migration of forecast data to parent company system.

This position includes responsibilities for analytics, accounting, and costing for Warn Automotive.

Essential Job Functions Include:

• Prepares key operational reports with analysis of key metrics. Present findings and make recommendations to Senior Leadership to meet key metrics.
• Utilizes available tools and systems to facilitate information flow and improve the forecasting process.
• Manages the capital expenditure requests including: Aiding and vetting the capital expenditure projects, understanding and preparing the models, monitoring capital expenditures.
• Key support person in the annual operating plan preparation, review, analysis, and implementation. Ensures the annual budget process meets goals and timelines as required by parent company and Senior Leadership.
• Aligns business metrics with segment and corporate objectives and provide appropriate scorekeeping.
• Champions continuous working capital understanding and cash flow forecasting improvement within the operating company.
• Rolling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecast updates, including cash flows, using Excel and Dover forecasting systems.
• Financial write up of monthly operation's report to next financial consolidation level. May be responsible as financial analysis reporting point of contact to corporate level as back-up to the Director of Finance.
• Provides leadership and coordination of predictive analysis tools and modeling to assist in driving forecast accuracy.
• Quarterly review analytics. Quarterly segment review package and bridges.
• Financial analysis and problem solving.
• Trains company employees on financial metrics and principles.
• Exercises considerable discretion and independent judgment and manages confidential information.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities for improved operations of the Finance Team and Warn Automotive.
• Participates in special projects on the Finance Team as well as on other teams.
• Problem-solves individually or as part of a cross functional group as job duties require. May lead such cross functional problem-solving activities.
• Provides support and training for succession planning in key areas of responsibility.
• Accountable for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in assigned area. Responsible for design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, including a self-assessment and report to management.
• Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance in assigned area.
• Work safely and without injury.
• Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
• Performs other various duties as may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field is required.
• MBA, CPA, and/or CMA preferred.
• Two to four years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or Cost Accounting within a manufacturing environment is required.
• Experience with a fully integrated financial reporting system is essential.
• Experience making process improvements utilizing current technology.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong accounting background with expertise in GAAP financial reporting. Strong Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and ERP system experience in a mid-large organization (JD Edwards or Oracle experience preferred). Advanced Excel skills are required.
• Strong skills in financial modeling.
• Strong oral and written communication skills commensurate with the job tasks and position necessary to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external customers while providing exceptional quality of work and outstanding customer service. Ability to present information in a manner designed to educate or inform other team members and customers in one-on-one or group interactions as directed.
• Ability to review, comprehend, interpret, process and evaluate effectively written work instructions and procedures written in English in conjunction with the performance of the essential functions and other assigned job duties.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills including ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a calm, rational and respectful demeanor and communication style in times of stress occasioned by work demands, tight timelines, heavy production expectations, unexpected quality control issues, and other work-related issues or concerns that may cause a heightened level of anxiety, frustration, anger, disappointment, confusion, etc.
• Strong technical, trouble-shooting, problem solving, research, organizational and analytical skills, combined with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet established deadlines. Ability to multitask is also essential while remaining flexible with changing priorities and deadlines.
• Well-reasoned decision making with a high attention to detail regarding organization, planning, work flow, and project prioritization to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Highly ethical, self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and/or with limited direction, as well as cooperatively in a team environment, while consistently demonstrating collaborative, respectful and productive work habits.

Salary Range : $64,196.00 - $90,000.00
