The position will serve as a hub for on and off campus basic needs services and resources to students visiting the Tutoring Center. The position is will provide excellent customer service and walk students through the various basic needs services available on campus and will be well-versed in the community programs located off campus as well. They will also introduce students to the various intake processes for the related programs, guides them through when applicable, and assists with various administrative duties as needed. The position works under the direction of the Coordinator of Tutoring Services for Academic and Tutoring Support Services.
What You Will Do
Provides superior assistance to students visiting the Tutoring Center. This includes greeting students and directing them to the appropriate area.
Refers students to appropriate services and assists with intake process.
Logs all student sessions in TracCloud.
Monitors email/communications software to respond in a timely manner.
Escalates issues to the coordinator in their designated service area.
Utilizes TracCloud to record working hours.
Attends required trainings.
Related duties and projects as assigned.
The Successful Candidate Must Have
Current student or recent graduate of Ocean County College.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to provide information in a 1-on-1 setting.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative.
Ability to work well under limited supervision.
Even Better If You Have
Bilingual and ability to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently.
Prior experience with computerized scheduling, tracking and communication software.
