RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for developing and implementing healthcare coordination services to support at-risk clients in the Kansas Foster Care programs. It involves analyzing the feasibility of bringing therapeutic supports in-house and leading efforts to maximize the use of Kansas' I/DD waiver for eligible children. Serving as the liaison with Managed Care Organizations and external funding sources, this role ensures services remain flexible and responsive to the needs of children in foster care. Additionally, it oversees the completion of required initial assessments, compiles and evaluates program data to improve outcomes, and advocates for children and families to access community-based services. The position contributes to organizational leadership through active participation in planning, budgeting, and team collaboration while fostering teamwork within Kansas Foster Care and ensuring the success of team members. It also supports case teams in establishing necessary mental health services and provides training on waiver services, mental health access, and the KDADS gatekeeping process. Other duties may be assigned as needed to fulfill the organization's mission. QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a master's degree in social work or a healthcare related field. This position requires 3-5 years of experience of direct practice with children, youth, and/or families or MCO experience. Preferred - License provider in Kansas and supervisory, management, or other leadership experience in community- based care for children, specifically in programs or settings serving children in the foster care system and/or those at risk of experiencing childhood trauma. Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver's license, proof of current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.
