Description
The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management invites applications for an experienced teacher-scholar and visionary leader to lead the Kent C. "Oz" Nelson Logistics and Supply Chain Management Center for Excellence beginning August 2025.
The Director will provide vision and leadership to the Center, define the strategic goals, develop curriculum, build enrollment and engage with students, develop and nurture industry contacts and an advisory board, network with alumni, and encourage internships and experiential learning opportunities.
The Director will teach six credit hours each fall and spring semester in courses like logistics and supply chain management, operations management, project management, quality management, and simulation and optimization, depending on expertise and the department's needs. Teaching assignments could include undergraduate and graduate courses, which may be delivered on campus or online, synchronously or asynchronously.
Other responsibilities include scholarship and University-related service.

The ideal candidate will be interested in mentoring students, engaging with the community, and addressing the role of business as a force for good in society.
Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate in Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Decision Sciences, or a related area by date of appointment.
Five academic years (40 months) of university-level teaching experience in Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Decision Sciences, or related areas.
Evidence of publications in quality journals and a continuing scholarship agenda.
Authorization to work in the US Employer will consider sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a record of high-quality scholarship and teaching that merits appointment as a tenured Associate/Full Professor. We value teacher-scholars who are committed to innovative and high-impact academic practices with students and the business community.
Professional work or other engagement with businesses in Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or related areas.
Experience with curriculum development and program management, excited to mentor and engage with students and the academic, professional, and business community.
