Job Description

Lone Star is seeking an experienced professional Software Developer/Engineer to develop and integrate 3^rd party application with US DoD mission planning system. The role will be a member of the Agile Team. Applicants will need to be easily adapted to desktop/laptop, Edge server and Cloud operating environments. Due to government clearance requirements, this position requires that the applicant be a United States Citizen. Legal residents do not meet this requirement. Due to sensitivity of work and data, this position will perform work on site. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Define, build, test and deploy scalable web applications and microservices
• Work in a DevSecOps environment
• Develop reusable, componentized UIs that can be shared across the enterprise
• Perform Peer Reviews, Code Deployment, Pull Requests and code updates when it fails in the pipeline
• Participate in Sprint Planning, backlog grooming, story points estimation, review/retrospective, and demo
• Collaborate with other software engineers
• Adhere to legal and regulatory standards
• Adhere to company data guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Degree, or imminent degree award, in related field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics) OR an unrelated degree, or imminent degree award, and equivalent experience demonstrating software development in a government, scientific, or technical environment.

• Must have or be capable of obtaining a DoD Secret clearance within 6 months from hire date. This requires US citizenship.
• 2+ years' experience in software development with at least two programming languages, one of which must be from the following list: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Go, or Rust.
• JavaScript / TypeScript experience

• 3+ years of ReactJS / Redux web development experience
• Frontend unit testing experience with React Testing Library
• Backend development experience using .NET / C#
• C# unit testing experience
• Robot Framework testing experience
• Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm experience
• RabbitMQ experience
• Experience working with microservices and RESTful APIs
• Understanding or experience with handling foreign sovereign data or FMS data
• Understanding or experience with F-35 software or data acquisition or Mission Planning
• Must be highly collaborative and capable of working in a team-based environment.
• Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
