The Opportunity

This is a chance to work on professional creative software product that touches millions of customers across the world. The Photoshop team is looking for a passionate, performance-focused Software Quality Engineer to join us in shaping the future of Photoshop. You will be working within a fast-paced, agile environment, partnering closely with fellow developers, quality engineers, designers, and product managers. Your role will play a key part in helping modernize this world-class product and delivering an incredible user experience. We are looking for someone who holds high standards and is technical, driven, and creative, and who with their clear communication skills, adaptability and collaborative approach can work effectively across the team to bring Photoshop to life on multiple platforms.

What You'll Do
As part of the Photoshop Automation team, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between automation framework and the developer and customer experiecence.

  • Build and maintain tools, dashboards, and infrastructure to enhance the reliability and scalability of the automation framework.
  • Foster collaboration across teams and encourage standard methodologies for validation and reliability in order to advocate for the platform and product's overall quality.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams on applying the automation framework effectively for developing and maintaining their own tests.
  • Identify and resolve issues in automation frameworks, infrastructure, CI/CD, and related systems to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate closely with teams from different functions to align on infrastructure and automation goals while providing guidance to team members in proven approaches.

What you need to succeed:

  • Experience with iOS frameworks and tools
  • Proficiency in Swift, SwiftTest or similar frameworks, with the ability to mentor developers, or a willingness to quickly learn and become an expert if experience is limited.
  • Strong debugging skills for infrastructure, CI/CD issues, and troubleshooting automation frameworks or test execution failures, including flaky tests and build errors.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python to automate pipeline tasks and workflows.
  • Experience with tools like Splunk, NewRelic, or Grafana for monitoring critical components and ensuring system reliability.
  • Solid understanding of Git, including branching strategies and integrating pipelines with repositories.
  • Excellent communication skills to advocate for overall platform and product quality and work effectively across teams.
  • A focus on performance, scalability, and reliability in every stage of the CI/CD process.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $109,000 -- $215,000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
