About the Role We are looking for a dynamic Software Engineer-dedicated, innovative, and eager to learn new technologies. You will play a critical role in building scalable, high-performance services that power mobile experiences for large enterprises. This role goes beyond coding; it's about shaping the digital experiences of tomorrow. What You'll Do
- Engage in all aspects of web services development: design, scoping, coding, code reviews, testing, bug fixes, and deployment.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes to ensure maximum uptime and superior service quality for customers.
- Participate in incident response, contributing to after-action investigations, reviews, and implementing improvements.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, continuously seeking to enhance products and processes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for software architecture, design, and implementation.
- Enhance test automation infrastructure to improve scale and velocity, ensuring quality across services and end-to-end product experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI/SDK developers, product managers, designers) to develop effective solutions.
- Participate in story mapping, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint planning/demos within a two-week cadence.
- Independently deliver complex functionalities and prototype ideas/concepts based on current trends and technologies.
- Communicate clearly with team members and management to define and achieve goals.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering growth and development.
What You Need to Succeed
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience in designing and developing web or software applications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to teamwork, self-organization, and continuous improvement.
- Expertise in backend development with languages such as Java, Node.js, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure), Kubernetes, GitOps, Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in setting up SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for key services and establishing comprehensive monitoring practices.
- Proficiency in writing functional, integration, and performance tests, and developing test frameworks.
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Kafka and Zookeeper is a plus.
- Experience in mobile application development is a plus.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $113,400 -- $206,300 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
