Lead Developer (NodeJS/AWS/ReactJS) As a Lead Developer with expertise in Node.js primarily (with decent experience in React JS and AWS) you will play a crucial role in designing, developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions. With a hybrid work model and day shifts you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive the company's success and positively impact society. Location: Saint Louis, MO, USA (Remote) You must be legally authorized to work in USA without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Responsibilities: * Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring best practices are followed. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver scalable and reliable applications. * Ensure code quality and maintainability by conducting regular code reviews and implementing automated testing. * Optimize application performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure smooth operation. * Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all projects, including technical specifications and user guides. * Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our development processes. * Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. * Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards. * Participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely delivery of projects. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools. * Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and innovation. Qualifications: * Have a strong background in software development with a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 14 years of relevant experience. * Extensive expertise in NodeJS * Excellent knowledge in AWS * Strong experience in ReactJS * Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. * Demonstrate strong leadership and mentorship abilities guiding junior developers to achieve their full potential. * Show proficiency in agile methodologies and experience working in a collaborative cross-functional team environment. * Have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality maintainable code. Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until 3/14//2025. The annual salary for this position is between $81,000 - $141,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
