Equipment Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Complies with all Koppers policies and procedures as well as all applicable operating procedures, SHE regulations and policies

• Operates various pieces of equipment

• Performs and assists with minor maintenance activities and repairs

• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment

• Performs miscellaneous housekeeping tasks as assigned throughout the facility

• Keeps work area clean and free of debris

• Promptly reports all incidents, injuries, damages or other SH&E issues

• Performs and complies with all SH&E responsibilities

• Wears all required PPE

• Promptly reports and, if possible, corrects all usage acts and/or conditions

• Other work-related duties as required

Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to work overtime

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Basic math skills (addition, subtractions)

• Experience working in small teams

• Safety, health and environmental awareness and ability to follow all safety policies and procedures

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to communicate with others in a professional manner
