Hiring immediately for CNC Machine Set-up at SIG SAUER. The CNC set-up Operator will operate, change over and set-up CNC machines on low to medium complexity components using automated and manual equipment and processes to meet end customer needs. This is an entry-level Set-Up position that draws on prior machining experience and technical problem-solving skills to operate, change over and set-up a minimum of two (2) types of Primary CNC equipment. Works both independently and in a team environment with internal team members, leads, supervisors, quality CNC Programming and Manufacturing Engineering. Also responsible for communicating with management.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Regular on-site attendance/punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
• Operate, change over and set-up a minimum of 2 types of primary CNC equipment within the time allotted by planning/Operator Standard Work.
• Complete all operational processes, checklists and procedures as required.
• Identify and assemble cutting tools and tool holder assemblies based on existing process documentation.
• Prepare all tooling, fixturing and program prove out for the machines.
• Pick-up work offsets.

Education/Experience & Skills:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of demonstrated CNC experience with a minimum One (1) year as a level III Operator
• Must be able to convey ideas and information clearly, concisely, and accurately to others in English, both verbally and in written form.
• Must have a professional and respectful attitude.
• Capable of adjusting and calculating feeds and speeds and apply knowledge of G and M codes.
