As a Mulesoft Platform Engineer you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by leading a Mulesoft development team working on an enterprise-level shared backlog as well as the execution of Platform projects. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 7 people in the PL Technology division.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Architect reusable components and libraries to standardize and streamline development efforts
  • Mentor and guide a team of 3rd party developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, performance optimization, and quality assurance practices.
  • Oversee the development lifecycle, from design to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and operational stability of integration solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration issues and provide advanced technical support during implementation and post-deployment
  • Act as a technical liaison between business stakeholders, solution architects, and the development team to ensure that integration requirements are well understood and met.
  • Provide guidance and subject matter expertise on MuleSoft and integration best practices to team members and other technical groups.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that integrations are aligned with organizational goals and technological trends.

The experience you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise integration, including significant hands-on experience with MuleSoft.
  • 2+ years in a leadership or architect-level role within an integration or software development team.
  • Experience with cloud-based systems and applications, including SaaS integrations and hybrid architectures.
  • Strong background in integrating enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS) and external APIs
  • Extensive experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, Mule Runtime, API Management, and Anypoint Design Center.
  • Strong proficiency in API-led connectivity, microservices architecture, and cloud integration (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with SOAP, RESTful web services, JSON, XML, and OAuth.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of complex integration challenges and how to address them.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What makes you stand out:

  • MuleSoft Certified Developer (Mule 4) or MuleSoft Certified Architect.
  • Expertise in integration patterns, such as ETL, real-time messaging, batch processing, and event-driven architectures.
  • Familiarity with Java and other programming languages used in integration development (e.g., JavaScript, Groovy).
  • Experience with additional integration tools or platforms (e.g., Dell Boomi, Informatica, Tibco, etc.).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools in the integration space.
  • Strong ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
