Working under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, and in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures, conducts a variety of routine experiments where methodologies are clearly established. Calculates, transcribes, and analyzes data using basic statistics. May perform literature searches under the direction of the supervisor.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Constructs yeast mutants and performs analysis by various techniques including immunoblotting, PCR, and microscopy. Constructs yeast and bacterial plasmids by standard cloning techniques. Purification of proteins from yeast and bacterial sources. Analyzes proteins by various in vitro biochemical methods. Maintenance of regular lab reagents and stocks. Discusses progress of work regularly with supervisor. All other duties as assigned. Education Physical Requirements
