Lead the Static Equipment Reliability effort for the site through collaboration between the Strategic Engineering specialist resources and the operations teams.

What You'll Do

As the Sr. Static Equipment Engineer / Specialist, you will lead the Static Equipment Reliability effort for the site. You will be responsible for managing the Static Equipment program to affect a reduction or elimination of identified operational risks within the plant including mechanical and facility related systems. Other duties will include:

  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety. (Ensure SAO, JSA, Take 5's, stretching, and all safety rules are being completed.)
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
  • Live and foster the IPL Corporate Values.
  • Supports BEx initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility
  • Mentors junior Engineers and Assist Operations as needed
  • Larger MOC's, FI or Capex projects
  • Ensuring that all static plant equipment assets at the Plant have effective Reliability and Capability Life Plans and world class maintenance strategies
  • Work closely with Maintenance Planners to ensure that preventive & predictive maintenance work orders in SAP PM are aligned with equipment maintenance strategies.
  • Complete equipment failure investigations using root cause analysis techniques.
  • Conduct engineering statistical reliability studies from the risk assessments, criticality data, corrective maintenance history and failure history.
  • Assure compliance to relevant external statutory regulation and internal plant and engineering standards and communicating such requirements to the relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure application of Company Management of Change policies and standards.
  • Implementation and Auditing of Standards and Guidelines in collaboration with Principal Engineers and Operations Personnel

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in metallurgy, materials, mechanical, civil, manufacturing or chemical engineering.
  • In lieu of degree, demonstrated experience with static equipment in a chemical manufacturing plant will be considered.
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance and / or engineering in a manufacturing plant - petro-chemical, power generation or similar heavy industry environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of static plant equipment and good knowledge of materials, failure mechanisms, fabrication and repair processes and procedures
  • Familiarity with Safety Management Systems. Quality Management Systems, and Turnaround Management Systems
  • Experience in SAP or similar ERP
  • Competent in the various methods of Root Cause Failure Analysis.
  • An enthusiastic attitude for the role and desire to learn and gain new skills
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player.

Annual Salary Range*$120,000 - $140,000 DOE

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level. The salary range is Dyno Nobel's good faith belief at the time of this posting.
