HX5 is recruiting for a System Cybersecurity Engineer to join the team, supporting the NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex - Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA and Legacy Space Program Office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the full functionality of the entire PIL System.
  • Understanding and analyzing IT specifications to assess security risks to ensure devices comply withrequirements.
  • Understand, design, and implement safety measures, and data recovery plans that pertain to thesystem.
  • Installing, configuring, and upgrading system software to comply with system security programs andapplications.
  • Inspect mission system for vulnerable points of access on a frequent basis, and for monitoringmission systems to identify baseline system vulnerabilities and detect system threats such as systembreaches, malware threats etc.
  • Utilize DoDI 8531.01 Vulnerability Management guidelines and conduct system scans to include butnot limited to Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Secure Technical ImplementationGuidance (STIG), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), document results and initiatecorrective actions to manage DOD cyber security capabilities.
  • Experienced with Cisco router and switches
  • Must have working understanding of Communications Security (COMSEC), familiar with a classified
    environment.
  • Must be able to learn quickly and independently and be a team player.

Education and Experience:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, OR; 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Security+ certification, CISSP or equivalent

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must have minimum Active SECRET Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
  • Must be able to travel, up to 10% including air travel.
