Do you want to use your Frontend Development skills to make a difference in the world of Cardiology?Bardy Diagnostics is an exciting, fast growing organization within Baxter with unique and compelling products looking for the right Senior Manager, Frontend Software to help us achieve our mission.

Join a multi-skilled, dedicated, and talented team developing state-of-the-art wearable cardiac arrhythmia monitors and associated cloud-based software. In this role, you will be a hands-on leader of a dedicated team focused on the development of these products. The right person is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include leading translation of the UX design wireframes to actual code that will enhance usability and performance. You will work with UX designers and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks and works. Your expertise in software development best practices and team management will help form culture and guide us to more productive and efficient product cycles.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage and provide technical oversight of a team of Frontend developers implementing compelling & responsive user-interfaces for our cloud-based, desktop and mobile applications.

  • Devise and establish development policies and systems to support efficient team execution.

  • Develop and maintain appropriate procedures to ensure worldwide regulatory compliance.

  • Guide team in collaboration with designers and stakeholders on requirements and design.

  • Design and code UI consistent with up-to-date design patterns meeting today's security and regulatory standards.

  • Deliver high quality and timely results to meet the business needs.

  • Oversee development activities and evaluate them according to established goals.

  • Supervise development professionals ensuring the generation of quality work products and provide ongoing guidance.

  • Build framework to ensure development team is delivering to stakeholders' expectations.

What you'll bring:

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.

  • Proven experience as a Manager, Frontend Software or similar role.

  • Experience managing customer facing, cloud-based software projects including defining, planning, and executing to predictable schedules and required quality.

  • Expertise in web UI technologies.

  • JavaScript (React.js, Node.js), Gatsby JS, HTML, CSS, TypeScript preferred.

  • Working skills in jQuery as well as QT or similar technologies.

  • Experience with translating visual and interactive designs from tools such as Sketch and Zeplin, Axure or other design frameworks into a customer focused frontend implementation.

  • Ability to collaborate with designers and product stakeholders in iterative development.

  • Success in bringing timely, highly usable, and robust products to market that maximize efficiency and effectiveness of clinical decision making and delight end users.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, ability to inspire.

  • Strong understanding of various SDLCs, their benefits and pitfalls.

  • Experience with software configuration management and issue tracking systems such as Azure DevOps.

  • Outstanding communication abilities.

  • Medical device or other regulated application space experience is preferred.

  • Success working with remote/offshore development resources is also desired.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $152,000.00 to $209,000.00 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
