The primary duties of the Highway EIT are to provide project engineering/project delivery supports with a focus on transportation projects and public transportation clients throughout the Southern California Region. Anticipated work tasks may include; Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects. Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction cost estimates. Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression Previous work experience with Caltrans/Local Cities projects (studies and design) is preferred. Bachelor's or master's degree in a related Engineering program Excellent oral and written communication skills. Preference will be given to local candidates. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company. The expected compensation range for this position is $69,000 - $82,000 and depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
