Key Position Details:

The Community Health Improvement Coordinator at Allina Health plays a pivotal role in enhancing community well-being by supporting the development and implementation of health improvement programs and initiatives. This position ensures the accuracy of program materials, engages with the community through events and social media, and coordinates key activities to address both system-wide and regional health needs. By fostering collaboration and providing essential operational support, the coordinator helps drive impactful health outcomes and community engagement.

  • 0.5 FTE (40 hours per two-week period)
  • Day/evening shifts (typically 4-hour day shifts; flexibility to do evening hours is preferred)

Job Description:

Support implementation of Allina Health community-facing health improvement programs and initiatives.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Program support.
    • Provide general support for development and implementation of community health improvement programs and initiatives.
    • Validate program websites to ensures program content and materials are up-to-date.
    • Manage social media support for community health improvement programs/initiatives, including writing and posting content and communications for social media platforms using established program/initiative brand personality and identity.
    • Support collateral management for community health improvement programs/initiatives including distributing t-shirts for events, mailing marketing items to community partners and supporting logistics for signature events.
    • Write articles for internal promotion of community health improvement programs/initiatives.
    • Manage reporting needs for system initiatives and cascades information to appropriate stakeholders.
    • Support community-facing engagement efforts, including representing programs/initiatives at community events, system-wide signature events and internal health fairs.
  • Operations and administrative support.
    • Supports community system-level operations, including program evaluation, communications planning and implementation, charitable giving, employee engagement planning, health equity planning and implementation, and/or Community Benefit Reporting.
    • Supports implementation of process improvements enhancements in system initiatives.
    • Assists with proofing presentations, program content, collateral and any written materials for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
    • Provides general administrative support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public health, community health, social work, communications, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • 0 to 2 years in program planning, administration or project management
  • 0 to 2 years strong understanding of and commitment to health equity

Pay Range

Pay Range: $24.08 to $33.00 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
