Main Duties & Responsibilities
JOB
SUMMARY:
Directs financial activities of an organization by performing the following
duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
Assists the company in achieving budget objectives (EBITDA, NWC, Sales, etc )
by establishing, monitoring, analyzing critical business and manufacturing
KPIs.
Provides ad hoc analytics to summarize and illustrate business risks or
opportunities in achieving budget objectives.
Responsible for the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate
completion of the close, including preparation of assigned journal entries.
Maintain and prepare monthly financial reports. Willing to be hands-on in the
documentation and recording of complex transactions.
Assist Controller in forecasting company business activity and financial
position in income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected
operations.
Key contributor to all aspects of inventory costing and supports manufacturing
performance improvement efforts as needed.
Review the labor and OH rate periodically with controller. Maintain those rates
within ERP system for annual cost roll.
Work with engineering and operation team to understand the manufacturing
variance. Be able to suggest improvement in operation or router update.
Works with the Controller to identify Continuous Improvement projects in the
accounting and cross-functional department and set appropriate milestones to
achieve. Fosters a culture that seeks to challenge the status quo and drive
improvement.
Identify & support cross-functional continuous improvement projects as
needed. Develops analyses as required to support critical business decisions.
Drive cross-functional process efficiency through the adoption of technology or
ERP functionalities. Works with IT to drive necessary ERP modifications.
Assists preparation capital request process (RFA).Provide support for analytics
that communicates project ROI.
Assists the Controller in the preparation of the annual budget and recurring
forecasts. Identify Risk and opportunities with cross-functional teams,
develops mitigation plan for risks. Drives forecast accuracy.
Assists in the preparation and execution of various audits of the company's
accounts.
Prepares SOX Testing Compliance documents as scheduled.
Helps to ensure internal controls are in place and operating effectively by
monitoring, transactions and identifying deficiencies. Ensures company
procedures are in line with corporate policies.
Use relationship database tools and be able to perform data mining. Be able to
translate the data into an executable action plan.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting
At least five years of management/supervisory experience.
5+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment and Cost Accounting
experience.
Experience with SOX compliance.
Ability to effectively prioritize and multi task.
Attention to detail, timeless, and accuracy.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must have strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Minimum of pivot tables,
v/h lookup, macros, graphs.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine
reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of
customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,
commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Abilities:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to
interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or
schedule form.
