Description
Remote position with the ability to travel to our NJ and NY locations up to 25% of the time. Position Summary: This primary function of this role is to support the collection and storage of data from various user dashboards. This role will support the IT unit and provide technical insights into the data warehouse environment and provide solutions for data metrics. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Examine and detail business models and flows of data, objectives, and requirements for sophisticated reporting solutions.
- Develop, or lead the development of technical solutions to sophisticated problems that can include extracting datasets and metrics from multiple disparate data sources and provide sophisticated analytical reporting.
- Assess data and respective metrics and provide domain expertise regarding data anomalies, situational impacts, and patterns.
- Support efforts to capture and analyze data as well as develop, maintain, modify, and improve sophisticated data movement and reporting solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure project completion, accuracy, and compliance with current industry standards.
- Provide technical insights and knowledge regarding current practices, changes in technology, and challenges to data collection.
- Maintain automation of data collection systems from various user dashboards.
- Design, develop, and implement data collection methods from various sources to create unique datasets for interpretation.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, applied mathematics)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SQL & MySQL.
- Minimum 2 years of experience Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL. Database / Azure SQL
- 5+ years of experience in Operational Data Store and Data Warehousing concepts, standard methodologies, models, and tools
- Fundamental knowledge of standard desktop business applications and tools
- Experience with database administration tools (designing databases & tables, management of file groups, SQL & MySQL)
- Proficient with BI tools (Tableau, Jaspersoft, etc.) and building dashboards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
Skills:
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills & problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting abilities.
The salary range for this role is$81,100 - $150,100. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs. Base pay is just one component of GNY's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
