Description

Responsibilities include:



  • Develop strategies and reference content and publishing architectures for software engineering teams within the Publications Division
  • Play a key role in engaging IT staff and peers to ensure successful product and policy rollout
  • Support or engage in the solution design and development processes.
  • Provide leadership in the research and development of new products using cutting edge technologies including Artificial Intelligence
  • Provide leadership in the research, development, and adherence to application standards, best practices, and patterns
  • Responsible for the planning and design of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure solutions
  • Participate in enterprise architectural board (EAB) and other cross-functional technology architecture groups that reviews designs and implementations
  • Oversee and approve the creation of architecture documentation
  • Support and mentor less experienced architecture staff


Qualifications should include:



  • Possess critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of content management solutions and content architecture
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture and application design patterns
  • Proven ability to gain knowledge of new technologies and conduct proof of concepts using well-established and innovative software development tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with team members, management, and business customers.


DC- or OH-based: This role can be based in in our Washington, D.C. or Columbus, OH office. A reasonable rate of compensation per year is listed for each location:



  • OH: between 130,000 & $176,000 per year.
  • DC: between $144,000 & $195,000 per year.

Experience
5 years: Cloud computing and containerization technologies (required)
10 years: Structured content technologies including XML, XPath, XSLT, JSON, XSD, and related (required)
10 years: Content Management Solution Architecture and Design (preferred)
