DEA Field Witness

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Field DEA Witness for our Cumming, GA team.

Responsibilities:



  • Maintain a general understanding of DEA regulations and forms, including:

    • DEA Form 222 - Order form for transferring Schedule I and II controlled substances.
    • DEA Form 41 - Used for the surrender and destruction of controlled substances.


  • Understand and utilize internal DES forms, including:

    • Controlled Waste Form (CWF)
    • Seal Verification Form
    • Pickup and Destruction Checklists
    • Driver Agreement Form
    • Certificate of Destruction (CoD)




Shipping and Documentation



  • Ensure proper handling and documentation of shipping processes, including:

    • Hazardous and non-hazardous waste manifests
    • Land Ban and Pre-Ship Forms




Inventory Acquisition and Transfer



  • Assist in verifying inventory records and reporting discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.
  • Witness and co-sign transfer documents to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee and document the loading process, ensuring proper handling of materials.
  • Verify trailer locks and seals before shipment.


Destruction Process Oversight



  • Support load arrival at the destruction facility and communicate with the driver.
  • Follow all facility-specific safety procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Inspect and confirm the integrity of locks, seals, and transported materials.
  • Witness and document the off-loading and destruction of materials, ensuring all substances are rendered non-recoverable.
  • Co-sign DEA Form 41 and Controlled Waste Form (CWF) to confirm proper destruction.


Basic Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of DEA regulations, hazardous waste handling, and destruction processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow compliance protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive materials responsibly.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation
  • Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
  • Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company's commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
  • The position frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive.


Preferred Requirements:



  • Prior relevant industry experience
  • Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour certification
