The Medical Records Associate maintains the Medical Records System and serves as a resource for retrieving and filing Medical Records. Responsible for the daily filing of medical documentation in the appropriate patient records. Also responsible for the processing of discharges for the agency.I. Major Responsibilities: 4. Manages admissions and discharge documentation, ensuring accurate caseload and census information: 5. Manages MD orders to maintain clinical record integrity: 6. Manages signature control form. All responsibilities are essential job functions. II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Preferred: Experience/Skills: Preferred: 1. 1-3 years in an office setting, preferably medical office related setting. 2. General understanding of medical terminology. 3. Familiar with medical record format and systems. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
