In the role of Civil Designer, we'll count on you to:



  • Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation
  • Address comments and redline markups from supervising engineer in AutoCAD
  • Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage design/plans
  • Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
  • Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
  • Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects
  • Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
  • Modify plan drawings and coordinate with AutoCAD Drafters and Civil3D Designers. May be required to prepare designs in AutoCAD and/or Civil3D.
  • Mentor junior staff.
  • Perform site visits to confirm field conditions.
  • Perform engineering assignments that require critical thinking and creativity to address unique elements that have limited or no specific code-based guidance.
  • Perform other duties as needed


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience working for an architectural/engineering consulting firm for minimum of 5 years
  • Experience with performing drainage analysis and calculations
  • Proficient user of AutoCAD and Civil3D
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Certification / EIT

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

The expected compensation range for this position is $80,850 - $105,000 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
