In the role of Civil Designer, we'll count on you to:
- Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation
- Address comments and redline markups from supervising engineer in AutoCAD
- Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage design/plans
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
- Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
- Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects
- Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
- Modify plan drawings and coordinate with AutoCAD Drafters and Civil3D Designers. May be required to prepare designs in AutoCAD and/or Civil3D.
- Mentor junior staff.
- Perform site visits to confirm field conditions.
- Perform engineering assignments that require critical thinking and creativity to address unique elements that have limited or no specific code-based guidance.
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for an architectural/engineering consulting firm for minimum of 5 years
- Experience with performing drainage analysis and calculations
- Proficient user of AutoCAD and Civil3D
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Certification / EIT
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
