System and Aeronautical Engineer - TARS (C)

Nemean Solutions, LLC is looking for a System and Aeronautical Engineer

Background:

The Tethered Aerostat Radar Systems (TARS) and Tactical Maritime Surveillance System (TMSS) programs provide wide0area persistent long-range detection and monitoring for interdicting low-level air, maritime and surface smugglers and narcotics traffickers along the United State-Mexico border, the Florida Straits, and parts of the Caribbean. The contract supports the program office with managing all requirements for full operational and maintenance of the eight (8) TARS field sites and the Program office.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Participate and lead technical and design reviews, perform technical analyses, develop, review and evaluate technical documentation and participate and assist with the TARS Operational Risk, Issues and Opportunity Process.
• Serve as technical focal point and liaison with prime contractors, equipment vendors and other stakeholders on current TARS Operations.
• Support the TARS PM and DPM with radar data analysis and maintaining key documentation pertinent to current TARS aerostat operations.

• Aerostat operations
• Aerostat fielding
• Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) procedures
• Radio frequency (RF) spectrum requirements and procedures
• Sensor Installation and Network Integration
• DHS and CBP Information and cyber security requirements
• CBP and AMO operational policies and procedures.
• Review and make recommended modifications to acquisition documents.
• Review program schedules for completeness and realism
• Assist with ensuring program responses to external data request are consistent and technically correct.

Security Requirements: Homeland Security Background Investigation

Support Hours: The contractor is responsible for conducting business between the hours of 0700-1700 Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays.

Place of Performance: The place of performance is the National Capitol Region with trips possibly required to the Ronald Regan Building (1300 Pennsylvania Ave NW).

Travel: The Contractor will be authorized travel expenses consistent with the substantive provisions of the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) and the limitation of funds specified in this contract.
