Responsibilities

We are Hiring! Peraton is looking for a Senior Pega Developer. The qualified candidate will join our highly performing team supporting the IRS ECM (Enterprise Case Management) Program. This position is remote but the qualified candidate must be local to the DC, MD and VA area.

What will you do:

    The senior software developer will develop and maintain robust system level software, ensuring the performance and scalability of backend systems during the contract period.
  • Will be fully dedicated to the project objectives. Translate detailed design into computer software.
  • Test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product. Prepare the required documentation, including both program-level and user-level
  • Build and optimize front/backend systems for project specific goals.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with architects to implement system improvements.
  • Formulate and define system scope, objectives, and detailed specifications.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Additional 4 years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree
  • 8+ years of experience in IT leadership, architecture, specializing in Java and Pega
  • Strong knowledge of front/backend development
  • Experience in Java
  • Experience in Pega and workflows
  • Certified as a Lead System Architect or Senior System Architect
  • Proficiency in Java, Pega, and workflow-based solutions.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes.
  • Ability to work within contract deadlines and deliverables.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance

  • Pega Certification
  • Active IRS Clearance

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
