Job Description Quality Assurance 1180 W Corporate Dr, Arlington, TX 76006 MN016 Single Customer Store Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Quality Assurance, you will be involved in all aspects of our quality management system. Your primary focus will include problem solving issues and complaints, supplier qualification, auditing, part qualification, reviewing customer specifications and document control. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Processing approvals for new and resourced products for customers o Creating procedures & work instructions based off of ISO 9001 and customer technical requirements o Following ISO 9001 and customer requirements regarding internal audits and document control o Assisting in responding to internal and customer initiated corrective action requests o Working within customer supplier portals submitting required paperwork o Assisting with customer visits and audits at Fastenal locations and suppliers o Supporting Fastenal branches and other internal departments for quality related activities o Communicating project status and results REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess or working towards a degree in Business, Marketing, Operations or a related field of study OR possess at least 2 years of Fastenal work experience o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Willingness to travel domestically and internationally o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Possess an engineering or technical related degree o Possess quality management related work experience o Possess experience reading customer blueprints and other detailed customer requirements and specifications o Possess experience with 8D Corrective Actions and working in an ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 environment ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
