Summary: Responsibilities: Other information: Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. BASIC KNOWLEDGE:Graduate from a Nurse Practitioner program with MS degree. Certified by the American Nurses Association (ANA) or by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) to practice in the expanded role. License must include prescriptive privileges. Completion of a course in American Heart Association Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support. EXPERIENCE: Successful completion of supervised three month clinical internship or equivalent in clinically intensive atmosphere (hospital) preferably in the area of Internal Medicine. Must have patient care services procedures and privileges approved by the sponsoring physician. Healthcare environment such as acute care hospital physicians* office and ancillary healthcare enterprises. Any hazards are minimized by adherence to established safety procedures and precautions.
