Job Description

The University of Missouri volleyball program is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Performance Analyst to join its team.

Reporting to the Head Coach, this individual will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to enhance individual player performance and contribute to team success. The role requires a deep understanding of volleyball tactics and strategies, along with strong analytical skills to provide actionable insights that guide training, strategy, and match preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Player Performance Analysis and Development: Analyze individual player performance, identifying trends and patterns, during training and competitive matches, using video footage, statistical data, and other performance metrics.
  • Data Collection and Management: Gather and manage player statistics, match data, and training results to track progress over time.
  • Video Analysis: Review and analyze game footage to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement for both individual players and the team.
  • Tactical Insights: Provide tactical analysis of opponents by reviewing their previous games, identifying patterns, and developing clear, actionable strategies to enhance team performance.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and visual presentations summarizing key findings and performance insights to support coaching staff in decision-making.
  • Collaboration with Coaching Staff: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Post-Match Analysis: Conduct post-match reviews to evaluate the team's overall performance and provide feedback on individual player contributions and areas of improvement.
  • Technology Utilization: Use performance analysis software and other tools to track and assess data, offering insights through innovative and tech-driven methods.
  • Participating in clinics, exhibitions, and camps as approved by the University.
  • Assisting with various program related items as needed.
  • Adhering to NCAA, SEC, and University regulations.
Shift

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required by the competition and recruiting season.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications: Prior NCAA Volleyball experience is preferred.

Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with education and experience
