Overview

The Business Data Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of business-critical data that drives strategic decision-making, supports client outcomes, and ensures regulatory compliance within our banking operations. The incumbent will work closely with various departments to monitor, analyze, and enhance the accuracy and integrity of business data related to sales performance, client risk profiles, and data governance-helping to shape a culture of high-quality data across the bank.

Pricipal Duties & Responsibilities:

    Monitor and improve data quality across sales and risk data domains, including pipeline metrics, KYC, credit exposure, and compliance reporting.
  • Define and enforce data quality rules, KPIs, and standards aligned with internal governance frameworks and industry regulations.
  • Conduct data profiling, validation, cleansing, and reconciliation to identify and resolve anomalies and discrepancies.
  • Partner with Data Stewards and cross-functional teams (Sales, Risk, Compliance, IT) to diagnose root causes of data issues and implement long-term solutions.
  • Design and maintain data dashboards and reporting tools to visualize quality metrics and trends.
  • Support data validation efforts for audits, regulatory submissions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Document data lineage, metadata, and quality processes to meet audit and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in developing and implementing data quality frameworks and governance best practices.
  • Enhance data entry, storage, and validation workflows by collaborating with business and IT teams.
  • Train business users on data quality standards, governance protocols, and best practices.
  • Work closely with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure clean, reliable datasets for business intelligence, reporting, and AI/ML models.


Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in data quality, data governance, or business/data analysis in banking or financial services.
  • Strong experience with SQL for data validation and analysis.
  • Proficiency with Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Solid understanding of sales and risk-related data (e.g., CRM data, credit scoring, compliance metrics).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across both technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience with data quality tools such as, Collibra.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and compliance/risk systems.
  • Working knowledge of relevant regulations and standards a plus (e.g., BCBS 239, GDPR, CCPA).
  • Background in supporting regulatory reporting or audit processes.


Education

  • Associates Degree in Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
