The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) serves as a centralized resource for addressing all reports of discrimination and discriminatory harassment, including reports that involve alleged violations of Title VI and Title VII, reports that involve alleged violations of Title IX and the University's Gender Based Misconduct Policy, as well as reports that relate to violations of the Protection of Minors Policy. The Office is responsible for reviewing, investigating and managing all incidents from inception through resolution whether the Respondent is a student, faculty, staff member or affiliate.

Reporting to the Director of Training and Education, the Administrative Manager for Training and Education provides administrative support for OIE's compliance and prevention training efforts for students, faculty, staff, administrators and other relevant audiences, as well as managing internal operations related to the OIE's training and education function, such as calendar oversight, data tracking and reporting, and editing and uploading training content.

Responsibilities



  • Monitor and respond to OIE Training and Education email inquiries.
  • Manage logistics and scheduling for training, education initiatives, and informal resolution processes across all Divisions in OIE.
  • Assist with data tracking related to OIE's Training and Education function, in collaboration with the Office's investigators, operations staff and case managers.
  • Support administration of OIE's asynchronous trainings by serving as liaison with campus partners to support the management of the online learning management platforms, including uploading content and performing data analytics on Sabacloud, Columbia's enterprise learning management platform.
  • Assist in creation of new training materials and updating existing materials to ensure that they are fresh, engaging, and up to date.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough files and reports using data/case management software.
  • Assist in creating and updating informational materials such as webpages, fact sheets, informational flyers, and newsletters to complement training and compliance efforts and to keep the campus community informed of the Office's policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related experience required, 3-5 yrs of related work experience.
  • Ability to work with confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
  • Must be self-directed and eager to grow in a dynamic working environment. Proficient with, or willing to learn, training programs and platforms such as Articulate Storyline360, Canva, Panopto and Courseworks.
  • Ability to prioritize and respond to requests in a timely and knowledgeable manner.
  • Proven experience in working collaboratively and effectively with varied constituencies.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google for Education, Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, etc), and other publishing or database software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills, good judgment, an appreciation of confidentiality and discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. This position requires the ability to interact positively, constructively, and effectively with professional staff, students, faculty, and organizational stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, program planning, and organizational skills required.
  • Resourcefulness, discretion, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and follow through and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
